The Saranac Lake Civic Center is more than just an ice rink! The venue is 38,000 sq. ft. with a NHL size rink. Ice is available from September to March and the remainder of the year is used as an event space. The facility includes public bathrooms, pro shop, multiple locker rooms, bleachers, heated viewing area and concessions.  ​

The rented space will NOT be available earlier than your specified arrival time. Be sure to inform all people involved. This includes your SET-UP TIME.

End Date and Time, including break-down time

This is the time you will need to have everyone and everything out of the facility. No later than 2:00 AM.

Birthday / Small Parties

For parties during the ice season, parties can be booked with private ice time for your entire group or booked during a public skating session. For either option, our rink calendar is the best way to gauge available ice time within the next 4 weeks.


Party room with private ice: we will contact you with pricing


Party special during public skating - $200:

  • 2 hour private party room

  • 1 hour of ice skating during public skating

  • Skate rentals: $5

  • 30 party guests (including 20 skaters)

  • Check skating calendar for public skating times

  • Outside food allowed

  • For more than 20 people skating, complete our inquiry form - a private party outside of public skating hours will need to be booked (costs extra).
