PUBLIC SKATING RULES
All skaters must adhere to the rules for public skating.

Skate at your own risk.

Hockey OR figure skates only. Speed skates are NOT allowed.

No figure skating during public skating.

No chasing other skaters or aggressive skating.

No inappropriate language will be tolerated. Those violating this policy
will be asked to leave the Civic Center. Repeat offenses will face longer
bans, up to and including permanent bans. -
Skate in a counter-clockwise direction.

Respect the space of other skaters.

Watch out for beginner skaters. Preserve skate trainers for those that
really need them. -
Strollers are not allowed on the ice.

Lifting any person on the ice is not allowed.

No food or drink on the ice.

No hockey sticks or pucks are allowed to be used in public skating.

Do not use your phone on the ice for any reason. Photos or videos are not allowed.

If asked to stop doing something by a Civic Center staff member, please do so. It's probably a safety issue.

The use of the assigned locker rooms will be permitted. However, the Civic Center does not supervise the use of these rooms. All participants and parents of minors using the locker rooms, agree to hold the Saranac Lake Civic Center harmless and relinquish all claims as a result of any activity or issues resulting while using the locker rooms.

The Civic Center staff reserves the right to amend or add to these rules at any time, without previous notice.

Anyone disobeying the rules may be asked to leave
